Los Angeles, CA – One person was killed, and two others were hospitalized after a traffic collision on the 10 Freeway in Palms, Monday evening.
The deadly wreck was reported on Interstate 10 and Robertson Boulevard shortly after 7 p.m. on May 4, 2026, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A silver Infiniti was speeding on the freeway when it collided with a blue Toyota Prius. The impact of the collision caused the Prius to be fully engulfed in flames.
One person was declared deceased at the crash site. A second person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The third victim was also transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
Drivers were diverted off the eastbound 10 Freeway at Robertson Boulevard. Lanes eventually reopened around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
