Victorville, CA – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle on Thursday evening in Victorville, according to a report by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The accident occurred in the 11790 block of Bear Valley Road, just west of 2nd Avenue at around 7:10 p.m. on April 30

Preliminary reports indicate that a black 4-door Mazda sedan struck a male pedestrian in the roadway. The circumstances under which the incident occurred were not immediately established.

The pedestrian was taken to Desert Valley Hospital and was airlifted to a trauma center. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not specified.

The involved driver remained at the scene after the accident and cooperated with the investigators.
