Hemet, CA – The person who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on East Benton Road in Hemet Friday night has been identified.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner identified the deceased as 33-year-old Alexandra Jubinsky of Aguanga.
The fatal collision occurred on East Benton Road, approximately 0.3 miles east of San Ignacio Road, at about 8:50 p.m. on May 1, 2026, CHP officials reported.
Preliminary reports indicate the crash involved a Toyota Prius and a white Chevrolet pickup truck towing a utility trailer. The circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately determined.
Jubinsky sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 9:16 p.m. At least one other person was transported to a medical facility with injuries. No arrests were reported.
Emergency responders arrived to find a leaking gas tank, though no fire was reported. Crews worked to secure the scene and assist those involved.
The crash led to lane closures along East Benton Road as authorities conducted the on-scene investigation and cleared the wreckage.
The California Highway Patrol Temecula Office continues to investigate the incident.
