Pinole, CA – At least one person was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Pinole early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP, a gray SUV, a gray Toyota sedan, a white Nissan, a silver Toyota RAV4, and a fifth vehicle were involved in the incident.
Authorities reported that at least one person suffered serious injuries, possibly including a broken right leg. The total number of injured individuals was not immediately confirmed. No arrests were reported.
Emergency crews, including fire personnel, responded to the scene and blocked lanes one through three to assist victims and manage the situation. Tow services were requested for multiple heavily damaged vehicles.
The crash significantly impacted traffic on eastbound Interstate 80, with several lanes blocked during the early morning commute, causing delays in the area.
The incident remains under investigation.
