Sacramento, CA– The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that left a motorcycle rider injured on Monday morning in Sacramento.

The wreck happened at around 6:36 a.m. April 27, on Highway 99 near 12th Avenue.

Preliminary reports indicate that a motorcycle and three other vehicles were involved in the collision on the northbound side of Highway 99. The events leading up to the collision were not immediately established.

When the CHP and emergency crews arrived at the scene, they located an injured motorcyclist on the shoulder of the freeway.

The rider was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. No one else reported any other injuries in the accident.

Traffic on the northbound side of Highway 99 was delayed as a result of the collision.
