Santa Barbara, CA – Two people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara on Sunday afternoon, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.
The incident transpired at around 4:45 p.m. on April 26, on the southbound side of the highway near the Las Positas Road exit.
According to the investigators, a white Toyota Tacoma and a gray sedan were involved in the incident. The impact of the crash caused the Tacoma to roll over and it came to a rest on its side on the right edge of the highway.
The California Highway Patrol and the Santa Barbara City Fire Department crews responded to the scene of the accident and helped the involved parties.
Two people were transported by American Medical Response ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries.
The accident impacted traffic along Highway 101 as crews worked to clear the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
