The collision took place on the westbound lanes of I-10 just east of Washington Boulevard at approximately 2:39 a.m.

Los Angeles, CA – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury multi-vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning on Interstate 10 West in Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place on the westbound lanes of I-10 just east of Washington Boulevard at approximately 2:39 a.m.
As per the CHP, the three vehicles, including a gray Honda Accord, were involved in the crash. A vehicle with deployed airbags was stopped in the middle lane.
At least one person sustained major injuries and was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment. There were also reports of a person possibly trapped inside one of the vehicles. No fatalities or arrests have been confirmed at this time.
Emergency crews, including the Los Angeles Fire Department, responded to the scene and worked to assist victims, clear the roadway, and manage traffic. Tow services were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and authorities also handled an animal that was found in one of the involved vehicles.
The crash significantly impacted traffic in the area, with multiple lanes blocked and authorities requesting traffic breaks as crews worked to clear the scene. The roadway was eventually cleared after several hours.
The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
