Montebello, CA – 63-year-old Wade Wilson died, and another person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened early Saturday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello, the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner reported.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision was reported around 2:33 a.m. on the eastbound freeway at the Paramount Boulevard exit.

First responders found a black sedan and another vehicle involved in the crash, with one victim located in the middle lanes of the freeway. The sedan also hit a freeway wall in the collision, trapping an occupant inside.

Wade Wilson died at the scene from blunt force trauma suffered in the accident. The medical examiner did not provide his city of residence.

Montebello firefighters freed the occupant from the sedan and transported them to the hospital with unknown injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Montebello, CA – One person died, and another was injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened early Saturday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:33 a.m. on May 23 in the eastbound lanes of the freeway at the Paramount Boulevard exit.

A black sedan and another car were involved in the collision. The sedan slammed into a freeway wall in the collision.

California Highway Patrol officers and other emergency personnel found one victim in the middle lanes of the freeway. The second victim was found trapped inside the sedan.

Montebello Fire Department firefighters freed the trapped victim and transported them to a hospital in unknown condition.

Another person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision was not immediately established.

Investigators closed all eastbound lanes of the freeway at the Paramount Boulevard exit for about three hours.
