Authorities reported that Ryan Felix, 42, of San Manuel, was behind the wheel of a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu north on SR 77 when he drifted into the southbound side and crashed head-on with an oncoming 2015 Chevrolet Silverado.

Oracle, AZ – The man who died after a crash that happened in Oracle early Thursday morning has been identified as a San Manuel man.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the wreck occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on May 21, on State Route 77 near Biosphere Road.
Authorities reported that Ryan Felix, 42, of San Manuel, was behind the wheel of a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu north on SR 77 when he drifted into the southbound side and crashed head-on with an oncoming 2015 Chevrolet Silverado.
The collision happened near the entrance to the Biosphere 2 science campus.
According to DPS, Felix was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver was taken to a Tucson hospital for treatment of a broken leg.
The highway was shut down for an unspecified period of time as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
An investigation to establish the cause of the accident is still ongoing.
