Riverside, CA – At least one person was hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Riverside on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported at about 2:25 p.m. April 8, near the Van Buren Boulevard exit.
At least two vehicles reportedly collided in the middle lane of the eastbound 91 Freeway exit under unclear circumstances. The debris from the accident was scattered across all the eastbound lanes after the crash.
CHP officers and the Riverside Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene minutes later and helped those who were involved in the incident.
At least one person was injured and was treated by paramedics at the scene. No one needed to be transported to a hospital for further treatment.
All eastbound lanes were temporarily shut down as authorities investigated and crews cleared the debris from the roadway.
No additional details were released and an investigation by the California Highway Patrol is ongoing.
