Nancy Cunningham Identified as Woman Killed in San Luis Obispo Crash on Highway 101

San Luis Obispo, CA – The woman who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened north of San Luis Obispo late last month has been identified.

Nancy Louise Cunningham, 69, of Stratham, according to the California Highway Patrol, was the victim of the accident that took place on Highway 101 at Higuera Ranch just after 9 p.m. on March 28.

Authorities reported that a Toyota Camry was attempting to turn left from Higuera Ranch onto southbound Highway 101 when it was struck by a Toyota Highlander.

The Camry came to a rest in the northbound lanes while the Highlander was pushed across the southbound lanes of the highway and onto the shoulder.

Shortly after, a passenger in the Camry stepped out of the car and a northbound Hyundai Tucson struck the Camry and the passenger.

The victim, now identified as Cunningham, was declared deceased at the scene.

Two drivers and three minors riding as passengers, were transported to Sierra Vista Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
