According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the wreck took place on Propello and Alecer drives at about 12:30 p.m. April 6.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a red sedan collided with the mail truck. The events leading up to the accident were yet to be established. Authorities said a pedestrian was involved in the accident.
The postal worker, who was delivering mail at a nearby mailbox, was injured in the accident. The worker and a second party were transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
