Lancaster, CA – The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified the man who died in a crane accident that happened Wednesday morning in Lancaster as 33-year-old Victor Cepeda.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 10:35 a.m. at a Los Angeles County Public Works facility located at 260 East Avenue K-8, east of Market Place.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, emergency personnel responded to the area after they received reports of an unspecified medical emergency.
Cepeda was pronounced dead inside a warehouse, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Details about the cause and manner of the crash were not available, but a crane reportedly fell, leading to the fatality, as per the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
No other details were available, but the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.
