Bakersfield, CA – A pedestrian died after being struck by multiple vehicles Saturday night in Bakersfield, as per the California Highway Patrol logs.

The incident was reported around 9:27 p.m., March 21, on northbound State Route 99 near the Ming Avenue off-ramp.

According to authorities, several vehicles hit a pedestrian under unclear circumstances.

The pedestrian was lying in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes after the crash. The victim died from injuries sustained in the accident.

A 2025 Kawasaki KLX230 dual-sport bike and a full-size SUV were towed away from the scene.

Multiple lanes were closed during the investigation.
