Pacific Palisades, CA – A Sun Valley man was killed in a motorcycle collision that took place in Pacific Palisades Wednesday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The wreck was reported at about 10:35 p.m. March 10, near the Sunset Boulevard and Marquez Avenue intersection.
LAPD officers and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene of the collision and located a motorcyclist and a vehicle involved in the collision.
Preliminary reports indicate that the motorcyclist was heading east on Sunset Boulevard when he fell from the bike and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Medics transported the rider to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as 51-year-old Arthur Martiryan of Sun Valley.
There were no details on the driver of the other vehicle and it’s unclear whether DUI or speed factored in the accident.
The Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation into the deadly collision.
