Moorpark, CA. – Authorities have identified two women who died in a car accident in Moorpark on Sunday afternoon.
The double fatal collision happened on Highway 23 at around 2 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling southbound when it drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a Lexus operated by Anabel Zamora, 41.
Zamora, a resident of Los Angeles, was killed in the accident.
21-year-old Mayra Garcia, of Los Angeles, was riding in the Chevy and was ejected from the truck. She died at the scene.
Two other people suffered serious injuries while another was treated for minor injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
