Berkeley, CA – A man was struck and injured by a vehicle late Friday night in South Berkeley, according to the authorities.
At about 11:45 p.m. February 13, authorities responded to reports of a crash in the 3100 block of Adeline Street near Ashby BART.
A vehicle struck the pedestrian near the train station under unclear circumstances. There were no details on the pedestrian and the vehicle’s direction of travel.
Police found the pedestrian unconscious at the scene. The victim, only identified as a man in his 30s, was taken to Highland Hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian was also not identified.
Authorities have not released further information on the accident and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
