Traffic accidents in Menifee resulted in 360 injuries and fatalities in 2021. This was a 31% increase compared to the previous year. This spike draws attention to certain hot spots in the city, especially a number of popular crossroads. Some of the most dangerous intersections have been noted to be Antelope Road & Scott Road, and Newport Boulevard & Haun Road. This is majorly due to high amount of traffic in these areas and congestion. Speed and alcohol continue to play major roles in these collisions. In 2021, speed played a role in 21% of the accidents while alcohol was a factor in 10% of the accidents. Authorities in Menifee have urged drivers to avoid drinking and driving and to slow down in order to increase safety because speed is one of the main causes of deadly collisions in California.
