Menifee, CA.- One person was killed in a single-car accident in Menifee on Sunday morning, according to the Menifee Police Department.
The wreck took place at around 12:30 a.m. on December 7, 2025, on Lindenberger Road and Scott Road.
A Mercedes Benz electric vehicle was traveling eastbound on Scott Road when it lost control and drifted off the south side of the roadway. The vehicle slammed into a light pole and was fully engulfed in flames after the crash.
The Cal Fire Riverside County fire crews responded to the incident and worked to put out the fire.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver’s identity was not immediately released.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Menifee Police Department.
Traffic accidents in Menifee resulted in 360 injuries and fatalities in 2021. This was a 31% increase compared to the previous year. Authorities in Menifee have urged drivers to avoid drinking and driving and to slow down in order to increase safety because speed is one of the main causes of deadly collisions in California.
