Oxnard, CA – One person was killed, and one other person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on US-101 South early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Authorities reported that the collision involved three vehicles. CHP logs indicated that two vehicles were found on the side of the roadway, and one party was reported unresponsive inside a vehicle following the crash.
CHP confirmed that one person suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. One other person sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and remains under investigation by CHP.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene along with fire personnel, who assisted with emergency response efforts. The Ventura County Coroner was notified and responded to the location.
The crash prompted lane closures and traffic diversions, including the closure of the Johnson on-ramp, as authorities worked to secure the scene and conduct the investigation. All lanes were reopened by 8:56 a.m.
