Lake County, CA – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Friday evening in Nice, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to CHP, a female pedestrian was hit by a silver van under unclear circumstances.
First responders found the victim lying in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting the Lake County Coroner’s Office to respond.
The vehicle was towed away from the scene.
