Woodland, CA – A semi-truck driver died after an apparent medical episode led to a crash Friday afternoon in Woodland, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision was reported just after 4 p.m., December 16, on the southbound Interstate 5 near County Road 102.
A party called 911, reporting that they were on the phone with the driver before the crash and that the driver may have been stricken while driving.
CHP Woodland Area officers and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
The driver was killed in the accident.
The officers closed the ramp from CR-102 onto I-5 and the slow lane of southbound I-5.
