Olympia, WA – Major Injuries were reported in a traffic collision that occurred in Olympia on Thursday morning, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.
The collision took place on State Route 510 near milepost 12 on January 8.
According to the WSP report, a driver was traveling on SR 510 when they tried to overtake another vehicle and lost control. The two vehicles ended up crashing into each other.
A trooper who was at the scene of another crash nearby responded to the incident. The trooper located the two drivers at the scene.
One person was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The condition of the other driver was not immediately released.
The WSP reported that a DUI investigation was ongoing and the driver who caused the accident is expected to be booked into the Thurston County Jail.
