Riverside, CA – One person was hospitalized after an incident where an electric car crashed into a home in Riverside on Saturday night, according to a report by the Riverside Fire Department.
At around 9:07 p.m. December 27, authorities were called to the scene of the accident on Trautwein Road and Grove Community Drive.
An electric vehicle reportedly crashed through a block wall and an exterior wall of a residential building. Reasons as to why the driver crashed into the home were not immediately established.
The Riverside Fire Department and police responded to the scene and helped those involved in the incident.
The driver was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time.
Six people inside the building were evacuated. None of them reported any injuries in the accident.
A tow truck was requested to remove the damaged vehicle from the site of the crash.
Authorities are working to find out what led up to the accident.
