Goodyear, AZ – Two people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash in Goodyear early Sunday morning, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on December 7, 2025, near Perryville Road and Thomas Road, and involved a sedan and a garbage truck.
The sedan was carrying two occupants at the time of the crash.
As a result of the collision, the passenger in the sedan sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the sedan was also taken to the hospital, but reportedly did not suffer life-threatening injuries. The garbage truck driver escaped the crash uninjured.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, and deputies believe impairment may have been a factor in the crash. No arrests have been reported at this time. Authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing.
