
Lancaster, CA.- The man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that left several other parties injured on the Antelope (14) Freeway in Lancaster early Sunday morning has been identified.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at about 1 a.m. November 30, 2025, on the northbound side of the freeway at 20th Street West.
According to a preliminary investigation, four vehicles were involved in the collision. The manner in which the vehicles collided was not immediately determined.
Authorities said one person died in the crash. The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as George Avendano, 25.
Five other parties were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
All northbound lanes of the freeway were closed at 20th Street West for approximately four hours as authorities conducted an investigation into the incident. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.

This data is used by entities like the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to rank cities and allocate grant funding for safety programs.
