Phoenix, AZ.- A bicyclist was injured in a crash with a vehicle in north Phoenix on Tuesday morning, according to police.
The incident was reported at around 9:01 a.m. near 11th Avenue and Carefree Highway.
Police said a male riding a bicycle in the area was hit by a car in unknown circumstances.
The rider was attended to by an off-duty officer until police officers and medics arrived at the scene.
The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver was at the scene when authorities arrived.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
