Sacramento, CA. – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles Sunday evening in Sacramento, according to police.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. near Del Paso and Marysville Boulevard, where officers found the victim lying in the roadway.

Authorities said the first driver fled the scene, while the second remained and cooperated with investigators.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit is reviewing evidence and looking for witnesses.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name once the next of kin are notified.
