Santa Maria, CA – The man who was killed mid October in a pedestrian crash in Santa Maria has been identified as Anthony Rodriguez, 25, of Santa Maria, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.

The fatal collision occurred moments before 8:35 p.m. on October 18 at the intersection of Broadway and Williams Street.

Investigators said Rodriguez was crossing eastbound on the north crosswalk of Williams Street when he was hit by a motorcycle heading north on Broadway.

The impact of the crash ejected the motorcyclist from his motorcycle while the pedestrian was thrown to the roadway.

Police found both the pedestrian and the rider lying on the roadside with significant injuries.

Rodriguez later succumbed to his injuries.
