9 Injured in School Bus Accident on Belden Street in Sacramento

A Toyota Tacoma occupied by seven juveniles was traveling towards Eastbound Harris Avenue when it failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a school bus traveling north on Belden Street.

Sacramento, CA.- Several juveniles were among nine people injured in a crash involving a school bus in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood of Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon, according to Sacramento Fire Department.

The incident took place in the 3900 block of Belden Street at around 2:50 p.m.

A Toyota Tacoma occupied by seven juveniles was traveling towards Eastbound Harris Avenue when it failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a school bus traveling north on Belden Street.

The impact caused the bus to spin while the truck crashed through a metal fence and slammed into two shades at a backyard.

The bus driver and one of the five passengers on the bus were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The seven juveniles in the truck were also transported with minor injuries.

The CHP is investigating the accident.
