Phoenix, AZ.- The bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in central Phoenix on Sunday afternoon has been identified as William Gutierrez Castaneda, 43, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The crash happened on Osborn Road just east of 16th Street shortly after 3 p.m. October 19.

Castaneda was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a speeding Tesla.

The involved driver fled the scene after the crash.

Castaneda was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
