Woodland, CA – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Woodland early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred at approximately 6:26 AM on County Road 102 at CR17.

CHP said the incident involved a small Kia SUV and a Toyota. Initial reports indicate the Kia driver appeared unresponsive at the scene.

The Yolo County Coroner responded to the scene and confirmed that one person was killed in the incident. The identity of the deceased party was not immediately released.

The Yolo Fire Department and Ed’s Anytime Towing assisted in clearing the scene. No arrests have been reported.

Northbound lanes were temporarily shut down to allow emergency crews to respond and clear the roadway.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
