Fresno, CA. — Two people were injured Wednesday morning when a garbage truck overturned along Highway 99 in Fresno, authorities reported.

The crash occurred around 10 a.m. as the driver attempted to exit onto the Ashlan Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver lost control and struck an embankment, causing the truck to flip onto its side.

Both the driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved.
