Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Vehicle on 60 Freeway in Montebello

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 7:45 p.m. on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway under the Paramount Boulevard bridge.

One Person Dies in Montebello Pedestrian Accident on 60 Freeway

Montebello, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by at least one person Sunday night on a freeway in Montebello.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 7:45 p.m. on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway under the Paramount Boulevard bridge.

A pedestrian was in traffic lanes when they were struck by at least one person.

The victim was killed in the crash.

A witness told authorities that the pedestrian was down, then got up and ran into the lanes again and got hit by another car. Another witness said the victim jumped from the overpass onto the freeway below.

CHP officers are collecting more information to determine what transpired leading to the crash.
