Los Angeles, CA.- One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in the Palms community of Los Angeles early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred on the San Diego (405) Freeway, just north of West Pico Boulevard at around 3:10 a.m.

Multiple vehicles reportedly collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway.

According to CHP, one person was killed in the accident.

All southbound lanes were temporarily closed following the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
