According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Infinity collided with another vehicle on the northbound side of the freeway and overturned
Newhall, CA.– Alan Franco died days after being involved in a rollover accident in Newhall earlier this month, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported at about 3:25 p.m. August 22, on the 5 Freeway north of Calgrove Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Infinity collided with another vehicle on the northbound side of the freeway and overturned.
The Infinity burst into flames and the driver was helped out by a Good Samaritan.
The driver, identified as Franco, was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardino County, where he was pronounced deceased at 9:12 a.m. August 26.
No one in the second vehicle was injured.
Authorities reported that the Infinity driver is suspected to have been racing a motorcyclist just prior to the collision.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
