Fresno, CA.- Two people were injured in an incident where a vehicle crashed into a bakery in northwest Fresno on Wednesday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department.

The accident occurred at the La Boulangerie in Fig Garden Village on Wednesday, August 27.

According to police, the driver of a red Toyota Prius mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brakes.

The vehicle jumped the curb and crashed into the outdoor patio of the bakery, where it hit two customers seated outside.

The two victims were treated for minor injuries.

There was no update on the condition of the involved driver.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Fresno police.
