Chasie Carino Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Panama Lane and Stine Road

Bakersfield, CA.- The woman who was killed in a car accident in Bakersfield early Sunday morning has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

23-year-old Chasie Aquino Carino of Delano, died in the incident that took place on Panama Lane and Stine Road at around 1:20 a.m. August 24.

Police reported that a vehicle was traveling west on Panama Lane when it colllided at the intersection with a vehicle traveling southbound on Stine Road.

Carino, who was riding as a passenger in the southtbound vehicle, was ejected by the impact of the crash.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The operator of the southbound vehicle was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other driver was treated for minor injuries.

Speed and impairment were believed to have played a role in the accident.

Two other motorists were also arrested on DUI charges after they crashed through the police barricades at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
