Lane County, OR – One person was killed after a vehicle crashed on Highway 58 in Lane County on Tuesday night, according to Oregon State Police.
The deadly accident happened at about 9:36 p.m. on August 19 on Highway 58 at milepost 48.
The preliminary investigation indicated Joseph Bowers Luker Sr. (74) of Eugene was traveling westbound in a Nissan Sentra when, for some reason, the Sentra left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and landed on its side.
Luker suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
