Barry Hostler Killed in Malheur County Crash on Highway 95

Malheur County, OR. – One person was killed in an accident in Malheur County on Thursday morning, according to the Oregon State Police.

The incident took place on Highway 95 near milepost 47 at about 7:52 a.m. August 21.

According to OSP, Barry Thomas Hostler, 48, of Truckee, was driving a Subaru Legacy northbound on Highway 95 when he crashed into the rear of a Case International 7220 tractor, driven by Jesse Dean White, 67, of Jordan Valley.

Hostler was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The highway was shut down for hours as authorities investigated the incident.

The OSP is conducting an investigation into the collision.
