Sierra Madre, CA.- A worker was killed in an accident that happened at a construction site in Sierra Madre on Friday afternoon, according to the authorities.

The incident was reported at about 1:15 p.m. August 15, in the 500 block of Sierra Meadow Drive.

A retaining wall at the construction site reportedly collapsed and trapped one worker.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on the worker.

Despite their efforts, the worker was pronounced deceased at the site of the accident.

He was only identified as a man in his late 20s.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
