The deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened on Monday, August 18, 2025, about 4:46 a.m. in the area of Rutile Street and 50th Street.
Jurupa Valley, CA – One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle at a Jurupa Valley intersection early Monday morning, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened on Monday, August 18, 2025, about 4:46 a.m. in the area of Rutile Street and 50th Street.
Deputies responded to the scene and located a pedestrian lying on Rutile Street, south of 50th Street, after being hit by a vehicle.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The identity of the deceased pedestrian was not released pending notification to the next of kin.
Rutile Street was temporarily shut down between Jurupa Road and 50th Street, as investigators processed the scene and collected evidence.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and it is not known if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the incident.
