Santa Rosa, CA.- A 19-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking her dog near a park in Santa Rosa on Thursday evening, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.
Natalee Fisher died following the incident that took place at about 7:25 p.m. August 14, near Northwest Community Park at 2698 W. Steele Lane.
Police reported that Fisher was walking her dog from the north side to the south in the crosswalk when she was hit by a westbound gray Honda.
Fisher was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased on Saturday.
The dog was taken to a veterinarian after the accident.
The driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected to have been impaired or speeding.
The accident remains under investigation.
