Calimesa, CA. – Two boys were seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident that happened Thursday afternoon in Calimesa, authorities reported.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area and found two boys with serious injuries.
The juveniles were taken to the hospital, where they were listed with stable vital signs.
Authorities said the car involved was occupied by the driver and a passenger. The two occupants fled the scene after the collision.
An extensive search for the suspects was conducted by the sheriff’s deputies with assistance from the Riverside Sheriff’s Aviation and K9 Units, but they were not found.
