Kern County, CA – The Kern County firefighter who was seriously injured in a rollover crash near the Canyon fire has been identified as Battalion Chief James Agee.

Chief James Agee was seriously injured after his truck overturned nearly 200 feet over a ridge and down a steep hillside in Castaic at about 7 p.m. on Friday, August 8.

Chief Agee was airlifted to Henry Mayo Medical Center in Valencia for treatment.

Castaic, CA – A Kern County firefighter sustained major injuries after their truck overturned nearly 200 feet over a ridge and down a steep hillside in Castaic, authorities reported.

The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. near the 31000 block of Romero Canyon Road south of Castaic High School.

Other firefighters responded to the scene and found the victim out of the vehicle with major injuries.

The firefighter was airlifted to Henry Mayo Medical Center in Valencia for treatment.
