According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 9:18 a.m. on Watt Avenue and Longview Drive.
A black Buick Verano reportedly travelled across the southbound side and crossed into the northbound lanes, where it hit a county vehicle.
Sacramento firefighters responded to the scene.
One person was transported to Kaiser Permanente North Sacramento Medical Center with minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
