Rancho Cordova, CA.- A crash involving two vehicles left one person dead on Tuesday afternoon near Rancho Cordova, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At about 4:30 p.m. August 5, authorities received reports of a traffic collision near White Rock Road and Grant Line Road.
A 21-year-old man was driving a Hyundai Elantra when he was involved in a head-on collision with a Subaru Impreza at the intersection.
The circumstances under which the vehicles crashed remained unclear.
The driver of the Hyundai died in the accident.
A minor, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, was hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Subaru also had major injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is working to find out what led up to the crash.
