Sacramento, CA. – A man was struck and critically injured by a vehicle Friday morning near an intersection in Sacramento, the Sacramento Police Department reported.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. near Norwood and Eleanor avenues.
Authorities said a man in his 50s was hit by a car under unclear circumstances.
First responders found the man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
