Bakersfield, CA.- A person was struck and injured by a vehicle in Bakersfield on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place in the 500 block of Oildale Drive at about 8:40 p.m. on May 14.
According to the report, a person was riding a bicycle or a motorcycle in the area when they were hit by an SUV.
The rider was pinned underneath the SUV after the accident.
The victim was pulled out and was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
