Valley Center, CA.- A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Valley Center on Thursday night, according to California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Lake Wohlford Road at about 10:50 p.m. April 17.
The CHP reported that Elias Arenas, 25, of Escondido, was walking east across the road when he was hit by a Chevrolet Equinox.
Arenas was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver fled the scene after the crash.
A suspect, identified as Nolan Deskovick, 40, was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing death and was booked into Vista Jail.
The incident is under investigation.
